If Hallmark ever dabbled in the slasher genre, this would be the result. However, rather than avoiding its ludicrous premise, It wholeheartedly embraces it, creating a self-aware love letter to both corny rom-coms and classic horror slashers. Mason Gooding and Olivia Holt have great chemistry, making the romance feel as compelling as the devastation.
