Review of Apartment 7A: A Vacuous Retread of Rosemary’s Baby’s Prequel

Apartment 7A flixtor serves as a prequel to the 1968 horror classic Rosemary's Baby, featuring Mia Farrow. While it isn't a terrible prequel, one might anticipate a higher quality from a film made 56 years later, especially given the advancements in technology. Unfortunately, that expectation wasn't met, which is somewhat disappointing. However, as previously mentioned, it's not a bad film; I simply hoped for a greater emphasis on horror. Julia Garner once again demonstrates her talent as an actress; while she may not be the most conventionally attractive, her performance is commendable. The supporting cast also delivered solid performances. The film's lower ratings may stem from viewers having overly high expectations. A quicker pace, shorter runtime, and a stronger focus on horror could have potentially improved its reception.
